My name is Leo. Trained as an engineer, I dropped everything in 2019 to live in a van. Since then, I've built out 3 vans and installed their entire electrical systems — from solar panels to 230V inverters.
VanPowerCalc was born from frustration: no online tool allowed you to properly size a van's electrical system without getting lost in Excel spreadsheets. I built the calculator I wished I'd had.
Every guide, every recommendation on this site is based on my real-world experience. I have no manufacturer partnerships. When I recommend a product, it's because I use it or I'd install it in my own van.
